Attila Rajnai

Ranked 3rd place eventing rider in Hungary in 2016

Attila joined Mittleider Eventing in 2012 and is our newest member of the team.

Attila grew up in Pápa, Hungary. From a young age Attila always had an interest in horses and at the age of 16 he started pursuing that path. He was the first in his family to do so, and although his family was supportive, Attila took the initiative on his own, sometimes riding his bike 12 miles a day to reach the local stable! During high school, Attila found a nearby show jumping barn where he received his first formal education with horses. Just 2 years later, at the age of 18, Attila finished 3rd in the Young Rider division and 4th in the Junior class at the Hungarian C.I.C. 1-star Championships.

After graduating he moved to Germany to train with Beeke Kaack (a 4-star rider) as a working student. Attila spent a year and a half there grooming, riding and competing. Next, he moved on to receive an assistant position with Nicolai Aldinger, who was working for Olympic Champion, Andreas Dibowski. Attila spent 1.5 years involved with that program. It was there, in Döhle, Germany that he met Sara at the age of 21. And shortly thereafter, he made the big move to the United States in 2012 where he hopes to continue on to his Olympic goals.

In 2016, Attila ranked 3rd place eventing rider in Hungary.
